Hitty Pearl had her Christmas gift early. A 'new' kitchen from the Swedish Muppet cook who has moved on to more modern quarters. She has imported Becassine accessories for the counter and needs to get busy and spruce up the place. Her gift was an inspriration from several HittyGirls photo galleries on the yahoo lists. Hers is bare in comparison but she's anxious to make it her own for this and other holidays.

Dear Pearl Hitty is getting a closet full of clothes and now needs winter capes with hoods or knitted hoods. My first attempt of a knitted hood with scarf attached was a disaster which took all evening to knit only to be frogged. I've kept her inside on cold and rainy days so far.
Attached to this note is a beautiful crocheted dress I bought from Sassy Susie for her Hitty's Easter Dress but wanted to share it with a fellow Hitty knitter on Ravelry so posting it here.
Out of season but a lovely dress and hat.

Hitty's newest dress

Hitty Pearl thinking winter is fast approaching has dug into her fall fabric stash and picked out a brightly colored leaf print and yarn to match for a shawl . That is how cold she is feeling. Her outfit was finished last night and she posed for it today. A sunny blustery fall day but at least the rain has stopped.

Winter encroaching

Hitty Pearl has a new sister. A handcarved Hitty by Stonedragon aka Connie ? ... Hitty Pearl insists still on being the top model though and the yet unnamed Hitty spends most of her time in Hitty Pearl's bed in her room box.
Snow is threatening early this year so the Hittys got a new shawl this weekend. I used striped sock yarn and I'm not entirely happy with the colors as they knit out.
Here are the newest dresses for the Hittys. One in a whaling print skirt and one a couple of acorn prints. They fell a kinship to the 'tree' themed prints.
Stay warm and dry these rainy cool days.

Hitty's Discovery

Hitty Pearl discovered a jewel of a fabric in the quilting stash. I'll post a picture of her modeling the dress made of her find. Whale fabric. It ties in so well with her book family history. She simply glows in the dress.
Also new to her wardrobe is the fun mushroom print dress. Tiny clusters of mushrooms with coordinating print bodice and hem border. Petite white polka dot print to match the mushroom caps. She's even requested a tiny clay pot of said mushrooms for her room but that hasn't gotten beyond the purchase of the clay to make them so far.
Fall is here and I should be switching to school type prints and plaids. Also longer sleeves but the flowers on the deck are so huge and abundant this year I hate to think of frost in the forecast at all.
Take a peek at her dresses.

Hitty has over 16 dress, numerous shawls, several hats. She has a new wardrobe box with partitions for her various types of clothes. She has new aprons with Becassine and a cute garden gnome on them. Two diferent ones of similar style. Very spoiled she is as she just got a strawberry tea set and a strawberry themed picnic basket set with many tiny pieces.
She's waiting for just the right day for a picnic in the park.

Hitty aka Clothes' Horse

Hitty, I find can never have too many clothes. As soon as one is finished she tosses out several more pattern ideas to make for her. The fabric stash is only minimally effected by her small demands however. Here are a few of her latest outfits.

Hitty Pearl gathers "stuff''

Hitty Pearl has quite the dress wardrobe complete with shawls but no bonnets. Every time she inventories her many mini belongings she comes up with what more she needs. Recently she acquired a lovely rose covered box with ribbon handles for her wardrobe and her toys and accessories are in a a straw nantucket purse basket. Her bedroom now has a resident cat that sleeps in a basket bed most of the time
She made her frist tourist trip to see the Lincolns in Springfield last week and took photos with the family.. she was a bit nervous as John Wilkes Booth was lingering on the portico steps but the Lincoln's didn't seem to notice.
Cool wet weather so not much playing outside for her but she is busy checking the web for more wardrobe ideas. Her is her new dress and her travel photos.

Hitty Pearl is soon to get a new room of her own instead of camping out on the wicker yarn storage hamper with all of her furntiture all around her bed. Her room box is having the floors stained and sealed this weekend and papered next week. She has been so patient. This week she got a yo yo quilt of vibrant colors to fit her bed complete with lace dustruffle. Last week she got a sewing stand, but alas no little machine yet so it will be her night table for awile.
She has been modeling for her owner's sewing efforts and hates to see all the lovely clothes being mailed out to other little Hittys so she was rewarded with a new quilt.
Spring has finally hit the midwest and she has been enjoying the lovely flowers on the deck.
Happy spring to all.

Emerging from 'Undercover'

I joyfully emerged from my box from American Kit Company in the depths of January winter weather this year. My dress partially completed was finished and the shopping ever since has been a daily experience. My owner has a small leather oval trunk, won as a door prize at a NIADA convention in Chicago full of clothes for me. Knit shawls, woolen capes, and many cotton dresses. Then my toy box is a Nantucket straw purse that is bursting at the seams. I make many trips with her shopping tucked away in her purse pocket in case anything looks my size.
Yesterday we hit a bonanza, felt formed hats in pastels and tiny wire hangers for my dresses.
I'm named after a favorite Aunt of hers, so feel honored to have the name carried on.
Right now I'm checking out a room box just for me. I have a new bed with a quilt, and a traditional light blue settle, and other furniture is in the works. Also I have a big handbraided round rug. It's so fun to think small.
